Barkley Sets Its Sights on Cannes


So what do you do when you’ve been shortlisted for a prestigious Cannes Lions Award?

You enter again.

That’s exactly what Barkley’s executive creative director Paul Behnen has done. Behnen, co-visionary of the iconic E-Trade Baby commercial (his previous Cannes contestant), has put his creative chops to task again with his latest set of creations for clients Krispy Kreme Doughnuts and Dice.

So why are these the ones to bring home the prize?

According to Behnen, “I think the Krispy Kreme ‘hot light’ app should win at Cannes because it delivers the most joy one can experience. With their clothes on.”

And Dice?

“[B]ecause it’s so f***ing weird, yet still delivers for the brand. Even getting mauled to death by a bear doesn’t come between a guy and his new Dice mobile app!”
